Thanks to all for visiting and taking our small community seriously!
June 2, 2018 Guffey Cleanup Day
Our second annual cleanup day was a huge success. This year we cleaned up twice as much as last time- 7 miles of road (14 miles of shoulder) from CR 59 to CR 71. Over 30 volunteers helped, and we had the trash picked up, sorted, and ready for the dump or recycler before noon.
March 20, 2018 Climate Change Talk
Patricia Turner, a retired marine research scientist and organizer for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby attended our regular RCFBF meeting and spoke on climate change issues and political engagement. The meeting started with a potluck, followed by Patricia’s talk and discussion, and ended with a documentary film, Saving Snow, about the impact of shorter, drier winters on towns and states dependent upon winter recreation.
January 20, 2018 Women’s March in Pueblo
A thousand or more people marching for equal rights and to get out the vote in 2018.
June 12, 2017 RCFBF Meeting
Our friend and neighbor, Joe Rodriguez, discussed the basis of his politically conservative ideology and his ideas for ways that conservatives and liberals in the U.S. can find common ground. Sunnie presented a training session for our Guffey Heritage Day voter registration drive.
